Upcoming Shows

After many years training as a dancer Cath started her performance career as a singer/dancer in Cabaret shows in Japan. It was quickly apparent that singing and performance was where she wanted to be. After a stint as a circus artist, Cath performed in many shows for the Melbourne Fringe and Comedy Festivals alongside her constant band work. She performed a lead role and as Director’s assistant in the national tour of Hair and upon her return to Melbourne sang in a variety of bands, performing in pubs and clubs as well as continuing her involvement in theatre work.

She has worked in Theatre in Education companies and produced children’s music and shows and continued to develop her skills as artistic director and musical director of youth theatre programs. Alongside this she continues to write songs and perform as a singer. Cath has had the great pleasure of being in the touring band for “Dirtgirl”, ABC TV’s beloved Eco Warrior for several years, playing some of Australia’s best known festivals including Lost Lands, Splendor in the Grass and Woodford Folk Festival.

Cath has just released an album under her own name which is available on Bandcamp and which has already received so much love! Her band for this project includes some stellar musicians and old friends Michael Allen and Greg Arnold from Things of Stone and Wood and John Bedggood (Wilson Pickers) and Cameron McKenzie (Mark Seymour and the Undertow and Horsehead) who also produced the album. It also includes her partner Jamie on drums and her fabulous daughters Molly and Leah on vocals.

She performs regularly with a variety of ensembles including her fave new side project The Skiffle Sisters and is a regular at Port Fairy Folk Festival, hosting the Big Sunday Sing Out with Jimi Hocking.
